Dennis Shields has been CEO and director of Esquire Capital since its inception. He was a driving force in the creation of American Legal Finance, a nationwide association of litigation cost financing and lawsuit funding companies. American Legal Finance aims to set the highest possible standards for the litigation financing industry. Prior to creating LawCash and Esquire Capital, Dennis Shields served as the President and CEO of HealthShield Capital Corporation from June 1996 until May 2002. HealthShield Capital Corporation provides financing, billing, collection, and collateral management services to the healthcare marketplace on a nationwide basis. He served as vice president and chief operating officer as well as a director of Medical Management Inc. from 1992 until its acquisition by Complete Management, Inc. in 1996.
In addition, Mr. Shields served on the New York State Health Information and Quality Improvement Committee. He also served as a lay member of the Grievance Committee to the Second and Eleventh Judicial Departments in New York, the committee responsible for disciplining attorneys. Dennis Shields is the founder and Director of Esquire Bank, a full-service, federally chartered bank, which provides banking services tailored to attorneys' needs.
Harvey R. Hirschfeld is the director of Esquire Capital. He has been the president and director of LawCash since its inception and has over 30 years of experience in consumer and commercial lending and financial administration. Harvey Hirschfeld is also the Chairman of the American Legal Finance, which he helped found. Through the American Legal Finance's Best Practices and legislative efforts, the association reaches out to states and municipalities to promote its ideals of ethical litigation cost financing and high-quality lawsuit funding.
Before creating LawCash and Esquire Capital, Harvey Hirschfeld served as senior vice president, chief operating officer, and a director of HealthShield Capital Corporation from June 1996 until August 2002. From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Hirschfeld was senior vice president, chief operating officer, and director of Franklin Credit Management Corporation, a publicly traded real estate mortgage and portfolio acquisitions company. He also worked for Ingersoll-Rand Financial Corporation for more than seven years, holding various executive positions including director of special finance.
Ari Kornhaber is the president of Esquire Capital. He also manages One Hour Funding®, the post-settlement funding program at Esquire Capital. Ari Kornhaber practiced personal injury litigation in New York City with the law firm of Pariser & Vogelman.
He also litigated for Napoli, Kaiser & Bern, where he specialized in personal injury, medical malpractice, and mass tort litigation. A dynamic speaker, Ari Kornhaber has given talks and lectures about litigation cost financing and ethics at seminars and meetings across the United States.
Richard Hailey (Rich Hailey) is the special counsel to Esquire Capital. Mr. Hailey is a partner in the law firm of Ramey & Hailey in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a prominent trial attorney with a national reputation. He also served as the president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA).
Jason Younger is the treasurer and executive vice president of Esquire Capital. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree and previously served as the vice president for cash management at HealthShield Capital Corporation. Prior to working for HealthShield, Mr. Younger was an assistant treasurer and portfolio analyst for BNY Financial, a subsidiary of the Bank of New York.
David Daniel is the controller of Esquire Capital. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree in finance and accounting. As a CPA with over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Daniel has worked as the certified financial officer of First Atlantic Federal Credit Union, director of securities operations for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, vice president and controller of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, and as engagement manager and audit and consulting services provider for Accume Partners, a nationwide auditing and consulting company. In addition, David Daniel is an adjunct assistant professor of finance at New York University.
